Vhicule : bien. Rien dire. Accueil : moyen l agence de lerwick , trs moyen. Aucun effort fait par la femme qui nous a renseign pour nous faire comprendre. Nous avons du insister pour qu elle ecrive le prix de la location sur un papier.Si vous ne parlez pas trs bien anglais tant pis pour vous ! Un tarif annonc la veille pour une location partir de 11 h, major de 7 livres car nous sommes arrivs 11 h moins 7 mn !!!a par contre nous avons bien compris ! Pour la remise du vhicule l aroport, l trs bien . Bon accueil, sourires , etc .donc quand mme 3 toiles .
A terrible experince! We hired a car, whicht broke down after a couple of hours, and after being taken back to the office, we met a very unkindly female manager, who accused us for breaking the car, and we neather got a new car or the money we had paid for 5 days back. Instead we were thown out of the office!!We were so happy that we had a nice car rented by Bolts car,whitch we returned after 4 days without any troubles at all!
Although our flight was turned back by bad weather, and the plane eventually landed several hours late, the staff member at the Star Rent a Car could not have been more helpful, more courteous or more patient. She gave useful advice on itinerary and return. Even so long after closing hours on a Sunday evening, this sincere and friendly encounter set the tone for a wonderful holiday in the lovely Shetland Islands.
We had a very bad experience with Star Rent A Car.First, when we arrived with the ferry the lady at the counter insisted on getting a signature on a document showing the which dents and scratches the car already has - my wish to see the car first to get an own impression, was denied. Nothing has been explained to us - no instructions on where to drop off the car or if we have to refill the tank. Second, the lady made us drive her back to the companies office even though, we told her multiple times that we had to go in the opposite direction. Third, while the car looked ok first, then license plate just fall off somewhere in the road because it was just poorly tapped to the car. We found it back though. Forth, when we came in next morning to get it fixed we were threaten very ruddy. When asking for a compensation for our troubles the manager seriously argued that the offer was already cheap so she wouldn't offer any compensation and accused us to have pulled of the plate our self. Finally, she put 2 pound on the counter in rage and told us that's what we deserve as a compensation. Sounds almost surreal, but that's actually what happened.
Everything went well. For 10 pounds a day you can lower the excess to zero. Car was pretty new. 20p every extra mile.We got the car for one day, we were taking the ferry in the afternoon. The woman never mentioned the cars can be returned directly at the ferry parking lot, so we walked from the office, when we could have avoid that.
